Norwegian to start service from Aalborg to New York
Norwegian has a route from Aalborg to New York in mind, when they lowprice company get the new Boeing 737 MAX8. the company CEO Bjørn Kjos said that to Ritzau. Norwegian will fly the route 2 times a week and the other days the New York based 737 MAX will fly to Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Stavanger
Bjørn Kjos confirms in the interview that there arent a specific agreement with Aalborg Airport
“Its really good news for Northern Jutland. Theres a really good potential in opening an longdistanceroute from Aalborg, And we are happy that Norwegian has an eye for it. we have the facilities for it, and our international traffic is growing” says Søren Svendsen CEO Aalborg Lufthavn to Ritzau
The new Boeing 737 MAX8 shall also fly from Stockholma to Boston, Montreal and Delhi. Norwegian also want to fly from Barcelona to Cape Town and Rio de Janeiro in 2016, when Norwegian gets the new Dreamliner planes.
