Today we can say that SAS will be launching two new routes to Los Angeles and Miami (MIA).
SAS New routes to LAX And MIA
There will be daily departures from Stockholm til Los Angeles from 14th of marts 2016.
On top of that Oslo and Copenhagen will be sharing a plane flying to Miami from both Cities.
Miami is the Number 1 non-serviced intercontinental route from Copenhagen Airport with more than 55.000 passengers a year. The newest route announced is the route to Boston with estimated 33.000 passengers a year.
The new route to Miami will be a great alternative for business travelers travelling to Miami and not Fort Lauderdale. SAS ticket prices will be a bit more expensive than Norwegian but again Norwegian isn’t flying to Miami.
Departure times will be following:
Stockholm-Los Angeles: SK933 – 09:50 – 12:15 AM
Los Angeles-Stockholm: SK934 – 14:15 (PM) – 10:00 (AM) (+1)
Information about the Los Angeles route is already to be found on Amadeus and SAS.com – Even when SAS haven’t published it yet.
SAS will in the spring next year get two Airbus A330Enhanced fly delivered – besides the two that gets delivered this year. In addition, they decided to keep three of the older Airbus A340s, that actually had to be replaced with the new ones. This mean SAS now has the capacity to increase it’s long distance routes. And on top of that SAS also increases the capacity on the Copenhagen – Shanghai and Stockholm – Chicago routes. -> Book Here
